The ACNC will:

• act as the regulator for the NFP sector;
• establish and maintain a publicly searchable database of charities;
• provide a one-stop-shop for NFPs in their interactions across levels of government; and
• provide oversight of NFPs financial and governance practice.

There is currently the opportunity to make submissions to the ACNC Implementation Taskforce on the functions and operations of the ACNC.

Submissions are due by 27 February 2012.
